Choral Tapestry Concert Postponed

A message from SBCS Board President, Karen Williams…

Dear SBCS friends,
Thank you for supporting the Santa Barbara Choral Society.

Due to the ongoing  COVID-19 situation and the County Health directive that all gatherings over 250 people be postponed or cancelled, our  March 21-22  Choral Tapestry Concerts, at Trinity Episcopal Church, featuring 80 classical singers under the dynamic  direction of Jo Anne Wasserman, with pianist David Potter, have been postponed.

SBCS will honor all Choral Tapestry tickets dated March 21 or March 22, 2020 at the rescheduled  concert, date TBD.

If you would prefer a refund or to donate your Choral Tapestry ticket amount to SBCS, please follow these instructions:

  • For tickets purchased online, please email SBCS at info@sbchoral.org  either 1) requesting a refund, and you will receive an electronic refund of your transaction, or  2) indicating to us that you are kindly donating the amount paid for your tickets to SB Choral, and we will receipt your donation.
  • If you purchased your Choral Tapestry tickets at Chaucer’s Bookstore,  please mail the tickets to SBCS at 1330 State Street Suite 202 SB CA 93101  requesting a refund and a check will be mailed you, or if you kindly wish to donate the amount of your ticket purchase, Choral Society will receipt your donation.

Your support of the music of the Santa Barbara Choral Society keeps us singing at the highest artistic level, educating students, collaborating with other arts groups, championing living composers, and giving choral art access to the under-served. We deeply appreciate each of you, and look forward to singing our Choral Tapestry concert in the near future.

Stay well.

Board President

We hope we’ll soon be able to reschedule the performances, so stay tuned for updates. And when we’re able, please join us when Conductor Jo Anne Wasserman leads the Santa Barbara Choral Society as they weave a Choral Tapestry. Delight in a program of a cappella and piano-accompanied sacred and folk music from around the world in the rich acoustic of Trinity Episcopal Church. Celebrate the choral art that connects humanity across cultures, languages, and time, with repertoire from the 1500’s to the present, from England, Germany, Moravia, Scotland, Venezuela, Africa and America, featuring composers Britten, Mendelssohn, Kirchner, Wilberg and more!
